About
Leave a legacy and inspire others by writing down your story as a transformative narrative. And the best part is, you don't have to do it alone—I'll bring your story to life using your own words!
Quite possibly one of my favorite services I provide, I can help you create a memoir you'll be proud to hand your friends and family. Your life experiences can help touch the hearts of others and assist them in their own challenges; so, why not share them?
There are no restrictions on word counts, page numbers, formats, or target audience with this service. I simply help you shape your narrative, and we go from there. We'll address the length of the manuscript during the revisions phase. The content is far more important than the length of the book.
As your ghostwriter, I don't own the content or the copyright. They're all yours. I'm simply here to organize your thoughts, give your book direction, and ensure the storytelling is compelling throughout the book.
The process of ghostwriting your memoir consists of:
The outlining phase
The drafting phase
The revising phase
The editing phase
The design phase
I go into more detail about these phases below in the "How it works" section.
As your ghostwriter, I provide the outlining, ghostwriting, drafting, editing, and formatting services for you. The only thing you'll need to publish your book once we're done is a cover, and I can point you toward many cover designers the publishing community trusts.
I firmly stand against using generative AI in the process of drafting your book. The only potential use of AI in this process is the use of AI in transcribing content calls and the assistance of AI in organizing the outline. All manuscript drafting, editing, and formatting will be completed by me, without the assistance of AI.
I offer free coffee chats for you to discuss your ideas, ask your questions, and get to know me. If you'd like to take advantage, book a chat with the button below!
How it works:
01) Optional Coffee Chat
We'll have a coffee chat via Google Meet to discuss your ideas, goals, timelines, deadlines, budget, and anything I should know about you and your story. In the process, you'll get to know all about me and the work I do!
After the call, I'll put together a sample contract and send it your way. From there, we'll communicate any final changes to the project details. Find an example contract here.
Note: I will NEVER put your manuscript through an AI system. I include this clause in our contract!
If you haven't already, book a coffee chat here.
02) Signed Contract & Completed Deposit
Once we've ironed out the details, I'll send over a final contract for you to review and sign. The first deposit (usually 25%, unless otherwise stated) will be due before we begin work. Find an example contract here.

03) Outlining Phase
During the outlining phase, we'll complete 2-4 calls (1-2 hours each) to figure out your outline. The first call will mostly go over big-picture items: how you are, the core of your story, main life events, thematic and storytelling elements to include, etc.
In the second call and beyond, we're ironing out the finer details of your outline: the main points of each chapter, the emotional journey of the narrative (arc mapping), the purpose of each arc, etc. This is where we start to narrow down the who, what, when, where, and why of each chapter, but we're not going into detail yet.
Remember, the outline isn't set in stone, so we can change it as we go along. It's just helpful to have as much planned out in advance as possible to ensure the first draft is as strong as possible. The less revisions we need, the less headaches we both have to go through!
Before we move on from the outline phase, I'll have you review the entire manuscript outline and approve it. If there's any final changes you'd like made, we'll attend to those before we move on.
04) Drafting Phase
The drafting phase will be where the bulk of the work on your end comes in. We'll conduct as many content calls as we need—usually one to two per chapter—to get all your content down.
You don't have to overthink your content calls. I don't need you carefully plotting out every sentence before you say it; treat this like a brain dump rather than a presentation. Talk to me like you'd talk to your family and friends, and I'll get the chance to capture your authentic voice.
Once we've got all the content, I take the transcripts of our calls and start working out the content, filling in gaps, smoothing out transitions, and looping everything back to your main points. Basically, I'm sprinkling my writer magic across the pages and preserving your voice while I do it.
I'll be doing a check-in after each chapter to ensure we're on the right track. Please, don't hesitate to give honest feedback! The more brutally honest you are, the faster I can make critical adjustments that make your manuscript what you want it to be.
05) Revising Phase
No good book ever skipped a revisions phase. Even though I've done check-ins with you along the way, I want you to go back through and review the book as a whole. Be as critical as you can! Even the most minute detail should be evaluated for adherence to the book's mission. If it sounds off, flag it!
After I go through all your notes and make corrections, I'll go through and make corrections of my own, too. We'll do a final review of the book and make final adjustments before we head into the editing phase.
06) Editing Phase
During this phase, you get to sit back and relax. I'll handle the copyediting and proofreading to polish off the manuscript.
07) Design Phase
This phase takes care of formatting and book blurbing. We'll also go over what you're looking for in a cover so we can find you the best match for a cover designer.
08) Extra Edits & Special Requests
If anything in my work isn't living up to your expectations, just let me know and I'll fix it for free! The only time I won't do extra edits is if you request something WAAAAAAY outside the original scope of work—and trust me, it takes a lot to get there!
09) Delivery of Final Work
Once you are satisfied with my work, I'll deliver it as outlined in the contract. Typically, I deliver the document via Google Docs or Word.
10) Final Payments & Testimonial Request
Final payments will be due within the agreed upon timeframe (i.e., 7 days after the invoice is sent). I usually require final payments be completed right after I deliver the final work; these details will be covered in the contract.
After the work is completed, I will send you a testimonial request, which will be a simple Google Form asking about your experience working with me. I really appreciate any feedback you can provide—this both helps me improve as a writer/editor and helps future clients when deciding to work with me!
