How it works:


01) Initial Discovery Call

We'll have a coffee chat via Google Meet to discuss your project types, the project scope, timelines, deadlines, budget and anything I should know about you and your company. In the process, you'll get to know all about me and the work I do!


After the call, I'll put together a proposal and send it your way. From there, we'll communicate any final changes to the project details. Find an example proposal here. If you haven't already, book a call here.

02) Signed Contract & Completed Deposit

Once we've ironed out the details, I'll send over a final contract for you to review and sign. The first deposit (usually 25%, unless otherwise stated) will be due before we begin work.

03) Initial Work Period

The first work period will cover the scope and deadlines agreed to in the contract.

04) Editorial Round

In accordance with the contract terms, I'll go through and do as many rounds of edits as we agreed to.

05) Delivery of Final Work

Once all the edits are completed and you are satisfied with my work, I'll deliver it as outlined in the contract.

06) Final Payments & Testimonial Request

Final payments will be due within the agreed upon timeframe (i.e., 7 days after the invoice is sent). I usually require final payments be completed as I deliver the final work; these details will be covered in the contract.


After the work is completed, I will send you a testimonial request, which will be a simple Google Form asking about your experience working with me. I really appreciate any feedback you can provide—this both helps me improve as a writer/editor and helps future clients when deciding to work with me!


What if you want me to do retainer work?


If you would like me to do retainer work for a set or indeterminate timeframe (i.e., filling in for someone's parental leave, updating email marketing sequences quarterly, etc.), we'll discuss that ahead of time and include the proper terms in our contract.


I'm plenty happy to do retainer work for as short or long of a timeframe as you need me!
